Fighting Heart Disease

Most people do not realize that one of the No. 1 killers is heart disease. If you have been diagnosed with heart disease, chances are that you are looking everywhere to find a way to cure and control it, and do it fast. The first battle is in the mind – you should not panic once you have been diagnosed with a heart disease, instead relax and maintain a positive outlook. Remember that depression worsens the condition and it would do you no good brooding over the condition of your heart. Instead, take action and do things that can quickly get you back to lead a full and normal life. Meditation for a few minutes a day also helps you greatly to relax your mind. You should now resist all temptations and quit tobacco and smoking once and for all. Each cigarette will only increase your chances of making the disease worse. You must firmly resolve to quit smoking. Take the help of a close family member of friends if you think it might help. Then you should strictly follow a diet regime and eat only healthy food. This applies irrespective of whether you are overweight or have a six-pack body. The fact is, fast food, cool drinks and cholesterol only destroy your system internally, and its external influence may be hard to detect. So shift your diet to a preferably vegetarian one, with less oils and more cereals, fruits and vegetables. Finally, if you are overweight, then get on that treadmill right away and lose those extra pounds as soon as possible.
